Modern Analysis I & 2 

This is a full-year course comprising (Fall sem, undergrad/grad) MAA4226/MAA5228, and (Spring sem, undergrad/grad) MAA4227/MAA5229 (sections numbers are now known)

• We have the short Home-B (pdf) is due on Tuesday, 23Nov2010, slid under my office door, by 4PM.

• Please start reading my AdvCalc Notes (pdf) which has proofs of many of our recent results, as well as the axioms for a metric space. This covers topics in slightly different order from what we have done. Please read at least pages 1-4, pages 6,7, page 10 (Heine-Borel Thm), and the lefthand column of page 12.

  Please inform me posthaste of mistakes and clumsy phraseology.

• There will be no class on Friday, 15Oct, as this is UF's “Homecoming day ”.
• Class-A took place on Wednesday, 13Oct. Please post solutions; ta.
• The fantabulous Home-A (pdf) is due at the BoC (beginning of class) on Monday, 11Oct2010.

Spring End-of-semester Individual project

The Spring EoS Project-G (pdf) was due, slid u n d e r my office door (Little Hall 402, Northeast corner) , no later than   3PM, Monday, 25Apr2011.

The project must be carefully typed, but diagrams may be hand-drawn.

At all times have a paper copy you can hand-in; I do NOT accept electronic versions. Print out a copy each day, so that you always have the latest version to hand-in; this, in case your printer or computer fails. (You are too old for My dog ate my homework.)

Please follow the guidelines on the Checklist  (pdf, 3pages) to earn full credit.
